Ricotta Cheese & Basmati Rice

Question

Rabbi, I remember last year there was a problem with Ricotta Cheese are thre any brands that will be considered Kosher ? And is rice such as Basmati considered Kosher, 100% rice no added ingredients ? Thank you so much, your tireless efforts are much appreciated. Nadeen Salama
