Roach Killer

Question

When I heard that certain rabbis have stated that some types roach killer are hametz, I thought that they were insane. But after it was explained to me it doesn't sound so crazy. I was told that these items contain hametz in them, and this hametz used to be edible. It is no longer edible for humans but is edible for animals (even if it will make them sick, they will eat it). Threfore, since it is rauy le-akhilat kelev, it is forbidden. Is there a flaw in this reasoning? Thanks

Yeah! You only need it to be inedible for humans. This is poison, and is certainly inedible for animals and humans. Just because a dog won't die from it, does not make it edible. These people should give in their Rabbinical licenses, and go for help..... AA
