Sabbath mode oven

Question

Dear Rabbi; Getting back to the Sabbath mode oven--are you saying its ok to put food in On Shabbat and use the oven the same as if I were using a blech to heat the food? Is changing temperature ok also on Shabbat? Can you also tell me the halachic reason why--I've been told you cannot use this oven on Shabbat because of "hatmanah". Thanks.

If it is a Gerama (indirect action), then it is OK on Shabbat. You would need to put the food in while the oven is still off. Hatmanah is not by ovens. If it were, you would have problems with Blechs, too. AA
