Sealing an existing window

I was just told of an interesting halakha, namely, that one is not allowed to seal up an existing window because the shedim (demons) that entered through the window will not be able to get out. Is this indeed the halakhah?

You can disregard that. Strangely enough, so many people are aware of these laws that are written in only one Sefer, that are not accepted by the Shulchan Aruch, yet the basic rules are ignored. AA
