Search for Chametz

Question

I will not be at home for Pesach do I need to do the search with the candle and feather. If so, when should I do it if I can't do it the night before the first seder? Do I need to clean anything at work? I will not be there during pesach and I do not share my office with any Jews.

No candle & feather. That is a voodoo ritual. If you are looking to clean up Chametz, you work with some practical stuff like a flashlight and a Dustbuster. What did you expect to do with a candle & feather. & why did you forget that wooden spoon? Why do we just do things year after year without the resemblance of a clue. Clean your house before you leave & your desk if you bring food there. AA
