sefer (perek) shirah

Birshut Ha'Chacham, Yesterday I posted a question regarding Sefer (Perek) Shirah, however I did not see it posted on your Q&A. In the case that it did not get transmitted, I will post it again. Q. I have often read that reciting the perek shirah is only second in 'importance' to reciting Ketoret. With such an emphasis, why don't we know more about perek shirah, and why is it not part of our daily tefillah? Tizku leshanim rabot.
