Following up on your answer to JJ 1. If non-Jewish workers are using the hot water to clean the dishes, aren't they doing a melakhah for Jews? Why is it then permitted? 2. If the refrigerator breaks, can't you ask your non-Jewish neighbor to fix it based on the notion of sha'at ha-dechak (no real food for the family), or simchat Shabbat. If we have a non-Jew turn on the lights in the shul, since it is a tzorech tzibbur, doesn't have good food on Shabbat also count? 3. If you forgot to turn the fire on under the blech, can you ask a non-Jew to do so (also, based on the notion that ot food is very important for Shabbat and is thus a shaat ha-dechak)? 4.
