Question

Do you think it is OK for someone with a very ill relative (say a father) in the hospital to hire a non-Jew to take him there on Shabbat. I am referring to a case when the sick person is not conscious so there is no issue of pikuah nefesh. In other words, is the psychological need of a close relative to see the sick person (perhaps for the last time) enough of a reason to violate Shabbat in this fashion?
