what do you do if a fire breaks out in your house on shabbos..can you put it out?

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiIf you cannot get people out without putting out the fire, yes. However, if you can get everyone safe, you cannot. You can put water around the fire without touching the fire so that the fire will go out when it reaches the water. BUT, the safest thing to do is leave and get the fire department. CYA
