Shabbos clock

Question

If the shabbos clock is set to turn the A/C on but you are too cold and don't want it to turn on, can you pull out the "on" tripper? The same question applies the other way around, can you put in an "off" tripper if you want the A/C to turn off? My assumption is that since the entire shabbos clock is muktzah, the tripper is also. Correct?
