Shake 2

Question

You write "There is no reason to be embarassed of being a Jew." I wasnt talking about me being embarassed- I meant if you are in a public place and the flight attendant is walking around shaking everyone's hand and I tell him I'm sorry I can't for religious purposes, he will probably get embarassed and the first thing that runs through his head is dirty jew or something of that sort....? I thought negia was only when it was with affection?

Sorry, but that is the Halachah Law). Most people respond very well to it. Some are curious and ask some questions. Many say, "oh! I'm sorry! I knew that." And the majority think it is very interesting. You'll usually get a smile. Doing things that are hard to do for the religion, to follow it's laws, is what we are here on this planet for. Everytime you conquer something like this, you feel very strong and powerful. Try it! AA
