Shevah Berachot

Question

Dear Rabbi, Is it necessary to have Shevah Brachot (the parties not the blessings) after a wedding. Is this Halacha or a Minhag? If a couple is required to have the shevah Brachot can you have more than 1 per day in order to expedite the process and not to waste money?

There is no requirement, just that if you make a party in honor of the Wedding within the first week, you make the seven blessings. AA
