Dear Aharoni: I hope all is well with you guys. My grandfather was nifter this week. My mother lost her father, when is she permitted to file or cut her nails? What if there's a sharp edge? Do we as her children have any restrictions during the shiva week? After this week, can My mother participate in a melave malka/chanuka get together for the immediate family? I am helping out this week at my mother's house Am I allowed to take food home for my children from my mother's house? I am constantly taking food from here on a regular basis. Thank you Chaya
