No If you learn Tana"ch and you focus when you read the Unkelos, you will see some of the benefits. The English translation is not anything. It is not accurate, it is often written by Apikorsim (heretics), and it does not convey what Unkelos conveys. When Unkelos wrote his Targum, he did it with Ruach Hakodesh. The others similarly write theirs with Ruach Shetut. Would you consider the artscoll rashi translation to be written by Apikorsim? Thanks Jay
