Sink

Question

If you fill up a sink with hot water, why isn't the sink a keli rishon?

It becomes a kli sheni, because there is no heat source. A kli rishon is a kli that was heated by fire, electric. The walls of the kli which became hot remain hot for an extended period of time. As long as the walls are hot, the kli has a din of kli rishon. CYA
