Sources for Shabbat

Question

You mentioned that I should offer sources for Oneg Shabbos and why I would think that putting on a timer for classical music and going to the pool isn't part of oneg shabbos. Firstly, the Gemara you mentioned about a goy playing music for you, is that for yom tov, or shabbos? Because there is a difference. On yom tov we have a concept of chatzi lachem chatzi la'hashem and that's different than on shabbos. And even if the Gemara was discussing shabbos, maybe it could have just been debating the permissibility of avodas akum, but not necessarily endorsing it under oneg shabbos. Second of all, if you take a look at the Rambam, hilchos shabbos, 30:10, the Rambam discusses how on Shabbos the Tzadikim rishonim used to davven shacharis and mussaf, come home, eat, then go back to the bais medrash to learn. Granted, we're not tzadikim rishonim, however, we do see that the rambam's emphasis is on learning on shabbos, not personal simcha (like on yom tov). And yes he does tell us we have to have oneg on shabbos, but he defines it clearly through eating. Thirdly, we do have a concept that your shabbos day has to be different than the weekday. That's derived from Chafatzecha davar in the navi. For example the way we walk should be different on shabbos. "daber davar" is also one of the reasons offerred for why we have muktzeh; so that people will realize it's a different day. Going swimming and having your radio go on for classical music doesn't sound like making shabbos a different day. Finally, you mentioned Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak. I realize that he has helped many many people return to Judaism. But he seems very similar to a Christian TV evangelist with his theatrical speeches and witty responses and pressure on the spot to have women cover their hair. Moreover, he brings people close to Judasim by showing them videos of people who supposedly are reincarnations and have travelled to the "other side." Hmmm, sounds a lot like the manufactured social religion you were talking about. I don't mean to be disrespecful at all, and I am looking forward to learn from you. Thank you!!
