Answered by Rabbi AbadiSpices- just use them as is. The rest is K P for all. ... I didn't replace my spices this year or last year based on this. I already cooked a freezer full. Canola oil is short for Canadian Oil company. It is really a genetically modified rapeseed oil. The mustard gas that maimed so many thousands of American soldiers during WWI was made from Rapeseed too. Now there is increasing scientific evidence that even the genetically altered rapeseed that is used in canola oil is responsible for a dramatic increase in a wide range of neurological and other health problems. It does make an excellent machine lubricant however, which is what it was used for exclusively before the Canadian Oil company decided to modify it and market it as a "food" oil.
