Spices, salt, etc.

Question

Do you recommend purchasing new boxes of items such as Kosher salt, table salt, spices such as bay leaf that you remove one or two from the jar at a time or pour salt into another container...where the spices don't touch anything only that they are sitting in a cabinet with chometz??????? Stop laughing! I have six boxes of kosher salt in my pantry!
