Sponges

Question

Does one need a separate meat and dairy sponge for cleaning plates (because of the possibility that meat stuck in a sponge will come into contact with the dairy dishes and silverware) or do we say that the saop makes the meat pagum (but what if the meat touches the dairy plates and silver before it is made pagum by the soap?)
