State of Yeshivos

Harav Your replies are much appreciated and enlightening to the say the least. I am sure that most people on this list and others that have read and heard of your answers are shocked by what we DONT know. We all have been "practicing" pesach for many years, and many of us went to Yeshivos and considered ourslevs knowledgeable in halacha. But it seems that in reality we dont know halacha. 1) What happened to our yeshivos that we now know so little and/or have been so misled? 2) Where do we begin to bring ourselves back to the point of knowledge were we should be?
