Swimming

Question

Regarding your father's pesak concerning swimming on Shabbat (which I also heard in his shiur that you posted) can you please ask him what he does with the view of the Maharil that the minhag is not to bathe on Shabbat? Does he not accept this minhag as binding or perhaps it doesn't apply to swimming, only bathing? Thanks.

This isn't bathing, the Halachah is that you can bathe in water that isn't very hot, and there are many opinions on this topic, but a clear decision in Shulchan Aruch. My father was not the originator of this Halachah. AA
