Swimming Pool

Question

Can a swimming Pool be used by a woman as a Miqveh? I recall reading years ago that it is permissible but lately I've heard that it is not good because the water in the pool comes from a hose or other piping. Can you please explain the issues involved? Thanks, Joseph Mosseri
