How did men where the tallit gadol in Syria? That is, did they wrap it around the neck like a scarf or did they wear it the way people currently do? Was the tallit gadol the same size as today and did it have black stripes?

Answered by Aaron AbadiThis is not relevant. The proper way to wear the Talit is the way we currently do it. The stripes are completely irrelevant. Have them, don't have them, it's all the same. Personally, I like the look of white on white better than the black on white. Aaron Abadi
