tasting flavor

Dear Rav, Please forgive my persistance. I have learned much here, but I don`t like loose ends in my head. As you know, when one is close to the boundaries of Halacha( I can`t stand the word, leniencies), one has to be super careful You said, If you can clearly taste the flavor of the non-kosher ingredient, it is not allowed even if it is less than 1/60th. I can't think of anything that this would apply to. Maybe non-kosher feta cheese in a lasagna. Try it (with the kosher). Only flavor counts for this. You are probably correct about the cheese, if in fact it is in such small proportion to the pasta, but I was thinking more about brandy and wine, which really are detectable in small amounts, especially up to 1/6. Ever had sherry trifle? Thanks a million, Martin
