Question

Dear Rabbi, 1) What is the deal with toveling small cooking appliances, such as urns and coffee pots? Won't immersing them ruin them? 2) Can you cover a non-immersed vessel with aluminum foil or something to use it just once in a shat hadachak?

1) Our experiences have been that they usually don't get ruined. Let them dry well. 2) Sure. You can use it permanently like that. AA
