Do your research and you'll find out that Thanksgiving originated as a religious holiday. You can start with the word itself, "Thanks Giving." To whom? to the black hole? to the Jewish God? There were barely any Jews around in those days. AA " Historically it was a "peace" deal between the whites & Indians. Perhaps it even had a tinge of a a religious holiday but no more. Can't we see this as an Aqum who destroys an Avoda Zara , that now it will be permitted to be used? At LAst Rav Soloveichik zT'L celebrated Thanksgiving in it's fullest form.
