I picked up a copy of the OU's Pesach magazine today. I noticed a full page ad for Parkside Memorial Chapels in Brooklyn and Queens which is advertised as "under the OU". They advertise a package that costs $2985 and "includes everything according to Orthodox standards". The fine print mentions that "Shmira is available at extra cost". I always thought that Shmira was a requirement for both Ashkenazim and Sephardim. Is it? Thank you for everything you do and Hag Kasher v'Sameah.

Maybe they give only non-OU Shemira for a lousy $3,000. When a person comes in, they convince them to buy the full $12,000 Glatt LaMehadrin package, with three Hashgachos. AA
