Question

I'm trying to follow this Israel discussion even though it seems totally off-topic from Kashrut. Is there a suggestion that the concept of a modern state of Israel is wrong-headed and would be better off not existing, such as the Neturei Karta hold? Or is this just a technical halachic discussion as to whether the government of Israel holds any halachic distinction versus being an ordinary secular government. Just trying to understand what is being said (and not said!). Thanks.
