Toveling Plates

Question

Hi Rabbi: I heard from a reliable source that instead of toveling dishes etc, you can sell them to a non Jew, as we do with our Chametz on Pesach. Isn't this something we would do be'deved, or is okay to do. Isn't that looking for a loophole. Shouldn't we rather eat food off of legitimately kosher plates? And if its not, and totally fine, why dip everything in a mikvah when you can just as easily sell it and use those two hours of dipping dishes doing bikor cholim or another mitzvah? Thank you.

You don't Tovel dishes... and you can sell your dishes & it is perfectly fine. The understanding of our laws are not as simplistic as the people make it. AA
