Tovelling

Question

I toveled some silverware but I think I did it wrong. To begin with, I held the silverware in my hand when I dunked it. After I left the mikvah I realized that this probably means that certain sections of the silver were never exposed to the water. Do I have to redo it, and if so, how does one tovel? Also, my under bar mitzvah age child also tovelled the stuff with me. Is that OK?

If your hands were wet, then it is okay. As long as you watched your son put the silverware into the water its okay. CYA
