Trolli Candy

Question

Are trolli candies, such as Apple O's kosher? They have a Ko in a square, most say it is not a valid hashgacha, they contain gelatin. What is the general rule for gelatin? Thanks

Gelatin is Kosher Pareve. It isn't edible on its own. AA
