I found a source, albeit a bit cryptic. Halachos of Pregnancy and Childbirth; Chapter 15 paragraph 19. see note.

There is such a thing as Ayin Hara, but this one is a superstition that I am not aware of any legitimate source. If anyone knows of a source, I look forward to hearing it. Until then ignore it. AA
