vasikin + sefirah

Question

1. Is it PERMITTED to daven vasikin without a minyan if one can easily walk to a vasikin minyan? 2.Your father writes in his sefer that we don't use sfey sfekos to allow us to make a bracha. But don't we rely on a sfey sfeikah in sefirah that if you said sefirah by day you can continue counting on a safek whether day is part of the zman and even if it isn't there's also a safek whether sefirah is one big mitzvah or 49 seperate mitzvos?
