Dear Rabbi, Isn't "vinegar" by definition apple vinegar, and therefore never a kashrut problem, for Pesach or the rest of the year? Thanks, Martin

Answered by Yehuda Abadiyou are correct "vinegar" is apple based. It would apply to most reputable companies who adhere to the FDA guidelines. Grain Vinegar can be a problem as can Distilled Vinegar. I just don't want to throw it out there for the layman as it's easy to be confused. YA
