wasabi
Question
I can't seem to find wasabi with a hechsher and would like to know if S&B wasabi is kosher. (Should I be concerned about davar charif with wasabi/horseradish)? Ingredients: Horseradish, Lactose, Corn Oil, Sorbitol, Salt, Water, Artificial Flavor, Turmeric, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Artificial Color(FD & C Yellow #5, FD & C Blue #1) (Those are the ingredients listed. Is there a concern about ingredients not listed on the package)? Another Japanese food question: I found some rice noodles whose only ingredients are rice and water. I assume they have been cooked in processing, but they need to be cooked further (boiled in water) in order to eat. Is there a concern of bishul akum here?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiWasabi.... It is fine. There is no such thing as ingredients not listed on the package. (see our FAQ's section). Rice & Water.... No Problem. AA
