Wearing a kippa in a non kosher restaurant
Question
Dear R' Abadi, I used to eat vegan food in restaurants, but after receiving smicha in hilchos kashrus in February, I have chosen to not eat in restaurants that are not certified kosher, which means in my town, I don't eat in restaurants. Today is bosses' day and the workers in my office are taking our boss to lunch in a Mexican restaurant. After reading your Q & A's for the past 3 months, I have decided that I can go with my co-workers to honor our boss, and I will order salad or guacamole (avocado, lemon juice, spices). I'm worried about marit ayin; if someone sees me there, wearing my kippa (I don't have a hat with me), they may think it is a kosher establishment, when it clearly is not. Should I go anyway and not worry? Thank you for your time and consideration.
