Which side to place Mezuzah on interior hallway?

I have question on what to do with the Mezuzah for an interior hallway. I have a dining room on the left and a living room on the right. At the rear of each room there is a door that leads to a hallway that leads to the other room. Do I place the Mezuzah on the right as I leave the dining room or living room to lead into the interior hallway or on the right as I leave the hallway and enter into the dining room or living room? If the room you are going into is not at least 6 feet by at least 6 feet, you can't put a Mezuza going that direction. It's hard to understand the layout. See if you can draw a floor plan & email. AA
