Women of marriagable age and the 9 days

Question

1. Do women who are "of marriagable age" have any special dispensations to maintain their appearance during the nine days: (i) in general, since we are out and about and are "seen"? (ii) specifically to go on dates during this time? I include bathing, haircut if this was neglected prior to the three weeks, manicure, and clean clothes? 2. If one will be travelling immediately after 9 B'Av for a 2 week trip, can one do laundry during the 9 days for the trip's purpose alone?

1) Bathing is a requirement on all throughout the year except on Tisha BeAv itself. Haircut is OK for women till the week of TB. Manicure is fine. I don't see anything that should be different in these areas. The not eating meat & wine & the laundry should not get in your way too much. 2) Do it there, or do it before. AA
