Yom Kippur

Question

My wife will not be able to fast this Yom Kippur. She is nursing a baby and, while other women are able to fast while pregnant/nursing, she foresees that the fast will be impossible. With that in mind, how should we handle the day? Does she skip the fast altogether or does she simple limit her consumption of food? If the latter, could you please direct us with some detailed examples. Thank You

Can she if she should stay in bed. She does not have to go to shul. The Mitzva on Yom Kippur is to fast. CYA
