yom kippur shoes
Question
you mentioned that shoes are not muktzah because they can be worn to and from shul. is this because of "sakanas akrav" which is the reason why we make the brocha "sheasa li kol tzarki" which goes on shoes? why does this apply if we have non-leather shoes to wear that are just as protective?
Answer
Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiNo, becasue of the goyim. If the shoes are assur to use, then you are right. However, they would be muttar if you need them, so they are not muktza. Are sneakers muktza? No Would you wear them? No CYA
