a few pesach items
Question
I have a few questions about items that were on the list last year: 1. Is Nasoya tofu good? 2. You only have Bumble Bee tuna on the list. Are chicken of the sea or starkist (contains white tuna, water, vegetable broth contains soy, salt, pyrophosphate) good? 3. Chi Chi's salsa (contains tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, water, tomato paste, onions, vinegar, salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, spices, citric acid, natural flavor (salt, modified cornstarch, flavor) 4. Shop rite fat free California French dressing (water, vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup solids, tomato paste, salt, sugar garlic, onion, lemon joice, natural (lots of preservatives, but no fat!) 5. Are any beans that only contain water and salt and sodium edta good? 6. Is quinoa good? 7.Herr's bite size dippers tortilla chips (contain white corn, vegetable oil, contains one of the following: corn, cottonseed, partially hydrogenated soybean oil), and salt 8. You list kool whip as kosher and parve. The container says it is KD, but I don't see any obvious dairy ingredients. Is it really parve? (whose hashgasha is K?) Thanks again for your help.
Answer
Answered by Aaron Abadi1) Yes 2) Starkist is good. Chicken of the sea is being checked.... 3) Kosher Pareve for Pesach for All. 4) Same, but you left out stuff. I assume Natural is natural flavors and is followed by just preservatives and other poisons. If that's the case, then it is fine. 5) Yes 6) Yes 7) OK for All 8) Yup. K just means the company claims it as kosher. AA
