Apple Juice

Juice may not be so simple. Some 20-30 years ago I was speaking to the head of a major kashrus oranization who told me that all 100% fruit juices can bea assumed to be kosher. He then added that Mott's Apple juice was an exception because they processed Clam juice on the same machines. Mott's eventually, I understand, apparently changes and became kosher. But one thing I learned from this and another of other such experiences,in the kosher business name take anything for granted. I've new to this site and was somewhat surprised how easily you say somethings are kosher without a hechsher. There are many who always say assur (wigs, water) without justification, but in the food industry there are always a lot of surprises many if which are bad.
