Arak

Question

"Kosher" Arak made by Carmel and Askelon say on the label that they are made from molasses. Arak that does have kosher certification, made in Lebanon, Turkey etc.... says on the label that it is made from grape distilled spirits and anise. It is colorless and clear like water. I am asking if this is OK because I am moving to an area where "kosher" Arak has not been available for the last 3 years and the other brands are readily available. So, the question is, do I need to put 2 cases of "Kosher" Arak on my moving truck, or can I buy the other stuff at my new destination ! Thank you so very very much. SK

Unless you get more information, it is OK to drink the ARAK without the Kosher label. There is no requirement to look for more information. Aaron Abadi
