arguing with your rebbe

Question

When you write that arguing with you rabbi is chayav mitah, does that mean for any halacha or just specific ones? Aren't there some instances where your father argues with Rav Ahron zt'l? Thank you.

It is only prohibitted while the Rebbi is alive. Once the Rebbi passes, it is expected of the student to come to his own opinions if they differ than that of their Rebbi. That is very clear in the Talmud and all the other Seforim. AA
