Ashkenazic Minhag

Question

Dear Rabbi, Ashkenazim are machmir not to rely on the principle of rov tashmish when it comes to kashering. They go by the strictest form of bliah, even if it only happened once. What is the reason why your father recommends not observing this minhag?

This sounds like "Jeopardy" I guess that I'm supposed to ask the question. .......What is the Halachah for Ashkenazim in regards to Kashering Keilim?..... Did I get it right? AA
