barbeque on pesach

Question

If I put a new metal grill on my barbeque can I use it for passover? does it matter that hametz may have dripped down under where the gas plate and come into contact with the rest of the barbeque?

You can use an existing grill by just burning it well until any food or whatever might be there is burnt to a crisp. AA
