Bible Codes

Question

What is the Rav's view concerning the "Bible Codes"? i.e. is it a real phenomenon encoded in the Torah, or a statistical coincidence, etc.? Thank you for the valuable service that you provide to the Tzibur.

It should not be a base to believing in judaism. We know from our Rabbis that it exists in concept. Each specific one or set, may or may not be accurate. It's just a little bonus to our program. If someone were to show me that Satmar is listed in the codes as the proper sect of Judaism, I would not run out and buy a Shtreimel. If someone showed similar codes in the Koran, it would not effect my beliefs. The codes are extras, the Halachah is the rules for our religion. The codes are just a little touch of what's really in the Torah. The Ramban said that everything that exists is coded in just Parshat HaAzinu. AA
