Birth on Shabbat

Question

If my wife goes into labor on Shabbat, obviously I drive her to the hospital. But let's say it's night, can I turn off the headlights after I park the car? Someone even told me that once I drop her off at the emergency door I can't even park the car, but I don't see what I'm supposed to do, just leave the car in the middle of the road.
