bishul akum and wishing goyim happy holidays

Hello: i do not understand why 'snack' foods are not bishul akum based on the fact that they do not go onto a kings table at a feast - they would as a dessert! or at a breakfast 'feast' [ie dougnuts] also - may a jew wish a non jew 'happy holidays' even though the holidy is christmas ? isnt this somehow being modeh to it? what about wishing him/her a 'merry chrismas' itself ? thank you

1) Doughnuts is Pat not Bishul. That's why you need to learn to understand these things. They don't just come to you. 2) Happy Holidays is ideal. Our Christians are not considered Ovdei Avodah Zarah. Look it up in Hilchot Yayin Nesech.... AA
