Black hats

Question

Kvod Harav, I follow this web site religiously, its very infomative and very nogeah. i truly have the utmosty respect for AA CYA and Rav Yitzchak Abadi, and i applaude all of you for doin what you do, but with all due respect, when people who where black hats are constantly being put down or made fun of, its very offensive. i personally only wear my hat on shabbos. i wear a hat because i like the way it looks and i think of it as a respectful way to dress up for shabbos and i have a lot of friends who wear black hats all the time( for prayers) and i think that even though i choose not to wear it to every prayer, or even if someone chooses to neer wear one, then that is their parogative, and they shouldnt be put down for it. obviously if someone uses their balck hat as their religion then its a problem ,or if someone says that those who do not wear one are wrong or not as good as those who do then again that is a bad thing, however i would just like to state that its forsure not wrong to wear a black and people should do as they feel comfortable and not worry about everyone elses choices,if we are happy and content with ourselves then that fact that someone else wears or doesnt wear a black hat wont be an issue for us. thank you very much for your service to Klal Yisroel and to myself. and once again i dont mean an disrespect G-D forbid i hold you all in very high regard and if i did offend anyone i ask for mechila.thank you, Nachman

Nachman I have two points to make. Number one, when saying our names, I think my father's name should have been written first. It should have said Rav Yitzchak, CYA, and AA. I know you didn't mean any disrespect, but this website is for learning. Number two, we are absolutely not criticizing people who wear black hats. Anyway who spends the time to read through the responses, will see that. We are, however, criticizing those who sell it as a religious requirement and those who ridicule, embarass, and look down on the ones that choose not to wear it. AA
